About us
HES Amsterdam School of Economics and Business is one of the oldest, largest and most famous schools of professional education in the Netherlands. In October 2004 the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) and HES Amsterdam School of Economics and Business (HES) merged into one organization. Today, with almost 150 years of experience in economic education and over 14.000 registered students, it is the largest faculty within the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
The HES Post-Graduate Programmes has expanded to become an institute in its own right, specialising in the educational requirements of organizations and their employees. In accordance with these requirements our programmes offer a balanced package of modules in several areas, including Business Management and Finance & Control. On an international level, HES Post-Graduate Programmes offers an International MBA and several masterclasses.
HES PGP offers a state-of-the-art accredited MBA programme at a reasonable price in an international environment with students and lecturers from all over the world. The faculty consists of an ideal mix of academics and senior professionals.
Positioning
Our MBA programme is unique in that it covers the accepted fundamentals of business education (the science of business) while emphasizing the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation (the art of business).
Combination of theory and practice
HES Post-Graduate Programmes believes that a student should not only have a certain level of academic ability, but should also be able to do. This combination of theory and practice not only stimulates a direct application of theoretical knowledge, but also at the same time promotes critical assessment of the suitability of scientific concepts to daily business life.
Thanks to the core skills developed by our courses, alumni will be in a significantly better position as managers to being solving difficult problems in an uncertain global environment. They will be able to anticipate and adapt to changes and have the capacity to deal with complex international issues.
HES Post-Graduate Programmes maintains close contact with a number of internationally based companies to ensure that the course content and result of the programme meet the needs of international business. A number of senior managers of these companies have committed themselves to advise and provide feedback on the quality of the programme on a regular basis.
